To manage your unavailability and avoid bookings on dates your business is closed, you can add "Closed Dates" to block out time in your ServiceM8 schedule. You can:
- Add Closed Dates manually; and
- Choose to automatically sync and close on national, state and regional public holidays.
How to manually add Closed Dates
1. To manually add a date (or date range) your business will be closed, go to Account > Settings > Preferences > Company Information > Closed Dates, then click 'Add Closed Dates'.
2. Give the closure a brief Description, set the Start & End Dates, then Save.

How to automatically sync & close on public holidays
1. To automatically sync and close on national, state and regional public holidays, go to Account > Settings > Preferences > Company Information > Closed Dates, then check the box 'Public Holidays'.

2. Business Closed Dates will block out all staff members' availability on your ServiceM8 schedule, and will be taken into account by Self-Serve Online Bookings and Smart Booking Suggestions.
